Misty Forest With Ferns- Advanced Lesson
How to Adjust Color and Value For Depth In Landscapes
Landscapes are only hard, if you don't know all the secrets!
Misty Forest is similar to Sponging Trees (in the free lesson package) buts packs a ton more knowledge about creating depth in watercolor landscapes. Understanding the basics will improve every landscape you paint.
This beautiful scene is from the Great Smokey Mountain National Park, when the wildflowers and Trillium were overflowing the landscape.
In this lesson, you'll receive: an outline page to trace or draw, step by step written instructions, (with helpful information and tips on landscapes), a video demonstration showing every step in the process, and more.
And don't stop here! Visit Deb's album of photos from her photography workshop in the beautiful Great Smokey Mountain National Park for more subjects to try your new landscape knowledge on.
Guided practice is excellent practice, and with tips for creating depth and a little guided practice doing this painting, you'll be ready to take on the world.
Your Instructor
Hi, I'm Deb Watson.
My story is simple. I loved creating art from childhood, but was discouraged from pursuing art by my parents. So, I became a nurse, but kept painting.
I knew nothing about art, but taught myself over time and became a very successful artist, with hundreds of awards. Although my art and how to paint techniques are well known (in over a dozen books and online), I'm just a down to earth person.
I've always enjoyed teaching others how to paint with watercolor - sharing the joy!
Join me in your own personal journey into painting. My online lessons and zoom classes will teach you how to see and paint like an artist. No matter what your favorite subject is, you'll find it here - or email me your suggestions and I'll include a class in the future.
Happy Painting.
